WWE is one of the biggest companies in the world and with it, it has some of the biggest names in the world.<\/p>\n
But while so much of that leads to so much good, there are also problems associated with things, often completely out of the control of WWE.<\/p>\n
We’ve seen the rise of scalpers in recent times, with autograph hunters purely out there to get their hands on as much signed merchandise as possible in order to make a quick profit.<\/p>\n
However, one of the other major issues WWE has encountered is members of the public posing as some of its superstars to scam others out of money.<\/p>\n
Now, it’s happened again.<\/p>\n
Man scammed out of over $40,000 thanks to ‘fake’ Rhea Ripley<\/p>\n
There’s little WWE can do about this but reports coming from America suggest another has fallen victim to this scam.<\/p>\n
WON reports how an impersonator \u2013 posing as Rhea Ripley \u2013 managed to scam the unfortunate person out of over $40,000 back in March this year.<\/p>\n
This isn’t the first time this has happened with people posing as female WWE stars.<\/p>\n
An Alexa Bliss impersonator landed themselves close to \u00a31m in a similar scam, while Liv Morgan has also been the subject of such scams.<\/p>\n
As of now, Ripley herself has not spoken out on the issue and in fairness, is unlikely to get involved.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, this remains a huge problem in society in general.<\/p>\n
Quite what WWE can do about it is unknown but once again, it’s left the Average Joe out of pocket.<\/p>\n
