EASTON, Pa. \u2013 A beloved flower shop will continue blooming at a new location in Northampton County.<\/p>\n
Bloomies, offering fresh flower arrangements, houseplants, gifts and more, within the next couple of weeks is planning to move from 21 N. Second St. in downtown Easton to a new location at 327 Cattell St. in Easton\u2019s College Hill neighborhood, owner Pippa Moody told 69 News.<\/p>\n

Bloomies was established roughly 20 years ago, and Moody took over operations in 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m hoping to hold a soft opening in the new space sometime next week, but if that\u2019s not feasible, we\u2019ll definitely be there on Oct. 1,\u201d Moody said. \u201cI\u2019m just waiting on a new cooler to be delivered.\u201d<\/p>\n
The upcoming move was prompted by a large increase in rent at the shop\u2019s current location, Moody said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s bittersweet,\u201d Moody said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t want to move, but there was a steep increase in rent. So I really had no other choice. Originally, I was very upset, but now I\u2019m just really excited to have a bright, new space. It\u2019s going to be on College Hill, where I live, and I\u2019m looking forward to making it a real community spot. There\u2019s a lot of homes and families that live within walking distance of the building, and we\u2019re going to be carrying even more gifts and ready-to-go arrangements.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bloomies offers a wide array of fresh floral arrangements for all occasions, including birthdays, funerals, weddings, anniversaries, holidays and graduation celebrations.<\/p>\n
Beautiful designs showcase various premium blooms, including hydrangea, roses, carnations, sunflowers, snapdragons and dianthus, among others.<\/p>\n
Custom arrangements can be made to show appreciation, celebrate births and other special moments and lift spirits during illness and other difficult times.<\/p>\n
The shop offers delivery of its floral arrangements within a roughly 15-mile radius, serving customers in other parts of the Lehigh Valley such as Bangor, Nazareth and Bethlehem as well as western New Jersey, Moody said.<\/p>\n
A selection of pre-made arrangements that customers can purchase during walk-in visits will expand at the new location, situated about a mile north of its current spot, Moody said.<\/p>\n

On College Hill, Bloomies also will offer a wider assortment of gifts, including locally made soaps, candies, greetings cards and stuffed animals, Moody said.<\/p>\n
Moody likes to support other local businesses as much as possible, with some Easton-based products including candles from Easton Candle Co. and chocolates from Chocodiem.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love Chocodiem chocolates, but because I\u2019m British, I also carry some British chocolates as well,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Bloomies was established by Terri Freeman roughly 20 years ago, and Moody took over operations from Katie Antonson in 2023.<\/p>\n

Moody finds joy in brightening people\u2019s days and playing a part in special moments by crafting beautiful, fragrant and one-of-a-kind floral creations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love what I do,\u201d Moody said. \u201cI have a couple of weddings this week, which is always very fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
On College Hill, Bloomies will operate next to Mexico Lindo Mexican restaurant and will occupy an updated space that previously housed a yoga studio.<\/p>\n
Moody looks forward to bringing a florist back to her College Hill neighborhood, filling a void left by the closure of the longstanding Posey Peddler flower shop a few doors down more than a decade ago.<\/p>\n
At its current location, Bloomies operates 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.<\/p>\n

Hours will expand at the new location, Moody said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe shop will continue to operate Tuesday through Saturday, but I\u2019m going to stay open later because I feel like a lot of people need items when they\u2019re driving home from work,\u201d Moody said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat seems to be a lot of people\u2019s open time frame for availability. So, I\u2019m planning to stay open until 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 5 p.m. on Wednesdays.\u201d<\/p>\n
Additionally, individuals will still be able to find Bloomies\u2019 floral arrangements downtown via a new partnership with Pie + Tart at 349 Northampton St.<\/p>\n
\u201cStarting Friday, September 18th, you can grab pre wrapped bouquets from Bloomie\u2019s at PIE+TART!\u201d Moody announced on the business\u2019 social media pages.<\/p>\n
