SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) \u2014 A Scranton man is facing charges after police say he slashed another man in the neck during an altercation earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Scranton police announced the arrest of Tyquan Fields, 33, in connection with the Sept. 15 incident in the 1200 block of Jackson Street.<\/p>\n
Police said patrol officers were called to Geisinger Community Medical Center after a man arrived with a cut to his neck. The victim told investigators he had been involved in a physical confrontation with a man he knew as “Ty.”<\/p>\n
Investigators said the two men knew each other and had agreed to meet over a dispute involving a woman.<\/p>\n
According to police, witnesses provided information about a vehicle connected to the suspect. Investigators identified the vehicle’s owner as Fields.<\/p>\n
The department’s Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation, interviewing additional witnesses and collecting information that police said identified Fields as the man who allegedly cut the victim’s neck with a knife during the confrontation.<\/p>\n
The victim was released from the hospital the following day.<\/p>\n
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Fields, who later surrendered at Scranton Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n
Fields is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO.
