Scranton police arrested a 33-year-old Scranton man Friday after he slashed another man in the neck Tuesday during an incident in the 1200 block of Jackson Street, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to Geisinger Community Medical Center for the report of a male victim who had sustained a laceration to his neck. The victim told officers he had been in a physical altercation with a man he knew as \u201cTy,\u201d who was later identified as Tyquan Fields.<\/p>\n
Officers determined the victim knew Fields and the two met to discuss a dispute involving a woman.<\/p>\n
Witnesses provided officers with the registration information of a vehicle associated with the suspect, which officers subsequently determined belonged to Fields.<\/p>\n
The Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation, conducting additional interviews and gathering information that positively identified Fields as the individual who allegedly slashed the victim\u2019s neck with a knife during the altercation.<\/p>\n
The victim was released from the hospital the following day.<\/p>\n
An arrest warrant was obtained for Fields, who subsequently turned himself in at Scranton Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n
