{"id":28998,"date":"2025-11-09T03:01:04","date_gmt":"2025-11-09T03:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/28998\/"},"modified":"2025-11-09T03:01:04","modified_gmt":"2025-11-09T03:01:04","slug":"womens-animal-center-seeks-foster-parents-for-kittens-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/28998\/","title":{"rendered":"Womens Animal Center Seeks Foster Parents For Kittens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA \u2014 The Women&#8217;s Animal Center is expressing an &#8220;urgent need&#8221; to find foster parents to help bottle-feed shelter kittens who are newborns to less than six weeks old.<\/p>\n<p>America&#8217;s oldest animal shelter is seeking &#8220;Kitten Foster Volunteers&#8221; to care for kittens too young for adoption in their homes until they are ready to be adopted into loving forever homes, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\"><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/pennsylvania\/bensalem\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" class=\"article-subscribe-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Officials said that fosters will need to be able to provide a separate room or space from any of their own animals, as well as transportation to and from the Women\u2019s Animal Center for necessary medical treatment. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, foster volunteers must live in Pennsylvania within a 20-mile radius of the Women\u2019s Animal Center.<\/p>\n<p>The center will provide a training session to help volunteers be successful foster parents as well as a &#8220;Foster Starter Kit&#8221; with kitten care supplies. No experience is necessary. <\/p>\n<p>Foster parents are essential for young kittens who are too young, small, and fragile to survive without the attention, support, and compassionate care of dedicated volunteers, officials said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/womensanimalcenter.org\/our-animal-shelter\/foster-shelter-animal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Click here to fill out a foster application form on the Women\u2019s Animal Center\u2019s website<\/a><\/p>\n<p> About Women\u2019s Animal Center<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Animal Sheltering and Adoptions, Women\u2019s Animal Center provides a variety of vital services, including dog training, animal enrichment programs, veterinary services, and community education programs.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital is among 15 percent of hospitals in North America to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.
