\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Nancy J. Hazelton, 70, of Scranton died Wednesday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. Born on April 18, 1956 in Meshoppen, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Baker) Warner.<\/p>\n
\nShe spent her early years growing up in the Hop Bottom area and was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School, class of 1974.<\/p>\n
\nNancy met the love of her life, Robert Hazelton, while working at Gress Refrigeration. They married on December 16, 1977, built a life in Scranton, where they raised their family.<\/p>\n
\nWhile Nancy held several jobs throughout her life, her greatest joy was being a mother and a grandmother. She and Robert were blessed with three sons: Robert and his wife Heather, Peckville, Jeremy and fiancee, Alyssa Keagy, of Ramey, and Adam, with whom she resided with in Scranton. Nancy was a proud Grammy to Nathan, Aidan, Zoie, and Gavin, and four bonus grandchildren: Alexanderia, Joseph, Jared, and Rakira.<\/p>\n
\nNancy found happiness in simple pleasures like: going to Mohegan to play the slots and get a burger, estate sales, the flea market to \u201cjust look around\u201d, fishing and baking. She adored her cat, Daisy, and could often be found feeding the squirrels.<\/p>\n
\nShe is survived by her brothers, Raymond of Nicholson; and Richard Warner, Centermoreland; and sister Rosie Gilman Telford; along with many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
\nShe was also preceded in death by husband Robert and brothers, James Dwayne and George Warner; and sisters, Elsie Underhill and Arlene Warner.<\/p>\n
\nAt her request, services will be held privately. To honor Nancy, you are encouraged to plant flowers in her memory and to leave a few peanuts out for the squirrels.
