The Man<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.littlefeat.net\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Little Feat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Baidokas spoke to WHYY News while waiting to see one of his favorite bands, St. Paul and The Broken Bones. A self-described WXPN supporter for more than a decade, Baidokas said the community cultivated by the station keeps him coming back to the festival each year.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it also serves as a way to get into up-and-coming artists who get a boost from playing in front of so many people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing some artists when they\u2019re just starting out and then a few years later, they end up becoming big, touring around the country and the world,\u201d Baidokas said. \u201cThey always come back and show their support for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One artist that came to mind was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtjoyband.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mt. Joy<\/a>, a Philly-based indie band that\u2019s set to play down the street at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livenation.com\/event\/vv1kFZbM38G7t_-P\/mt-joy-2026-celebrating-10-years-of-mt-joy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Freedom Mortgage Pavilion<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve seen them at Union Transfer, at Ardmore, at The Mann,\u201d Baidokas said. \u201cIt really is insane to see how the community has helped them grow.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"At the River and Marina stages, the focus was on singer-songwriters and rock acts, including Dawes, Portugal.
