Erie police are investigating after a truck apparently backed into a building at 18th and State streets Saturday night.<\/p>\n
The truck was in the parking lot of a Chinese takeout restaurant when it apparently backed into the business next door.<\/p>\n
The truck appears to have struck the building with considerable force.<\/p>\n
It happened around 9 p.m., causing damage to the structure and doorway of Antonio & Sons Contracting at 18th and State streets.<\/p>\n
Police responded to the scene and taped off the area as a precaution while officers assessed the damage.<\/p>\n
Authorities have not said whether the building was left structurally unsound.<\/p>\n
The incident will be turned over to traffic investigators.<\/p>\n
