Chick-fil-A announced plans today to open nine new locally owned and operated restaurants across Western Pennsylvania by the end of 2028. <\/p>\n
The expansion is expected to create approximately 1,080 jobs in the region.<\/p>\n
As part of the expansion, Chick-fil-A Inc. will donate $25,000 to a Feeding America partner food bank or affiliate for each new restaurant opened. The company has donated $585,000 to local hunger relief efforts across Pennsylvania since 2020.<\/p>\n
Chick-fil-A opened its first Western Pennsylvania restaurant at Westmoreland Mall in 1979 and currently operates 20 locations across the region, with the most recent opening in Uniontown in 2025.<\/p>\n
The new locations will extend from Pennsylvania\u2019s western border with Ohio to the Interstate 99 corridor and south to the Pennsylvania Turnpike:<\/p>\n
