A city man was killed when his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a moving car over the weekend in northeast Reading, police said.<\/p>\n
Huascar Serrano, 50, was dead at the scene of the crash Saturday night on North 11th Street, just north of the intersection with Bern Street, police said.<\/p>\n
He died of blunt force trauma, and the death was ruled accidental, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said Monday.<\/p>\n
According to the crash report:<\/p>\n
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Temple woman, was northbound in the 1800 block of North 11th just before 9:30 p.m. when she heard a screeching noise, felt something hit her vehicle, then saw a person lying on the street beside her vehicle.<\/p>\n
Police arrived to find the motorcycle underneath the car. They determined Serrano was thrown from the bike and ended up about 40 feet northwest of the point of impact.<\/p>\n
The driver of the car and her passenger, a 22-year-old Reading man, were uninjured.<\/p>\n
