Chick-fil-A announced plans Monday to open nine new restaurants across Western Pennsylvania by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n
The company expects the multiyear expansion to create roughly 1,080 jobs across the region.<\/p>\n
North of Pittsburgh, a new Chick-fil-A is slated to open in Mars in October, followed by Butler in spring 2027 and Gibsonia in 2028.<\/p>\n
Along the Interstate 80 corridor, restaurants are planned for Hermitage and DuBois by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n
East of Pittsburgh, locations are planned for Indiana in spring 2027 and Murrysville, Latrobe and Johnstown by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we expand the brand, we\u2019re focused on creating more opportunities for local ownership, which in turn leads to new jobs and developing leaders within the restaurant,\u201d Chad Terry, Chick-fil-A\u2019s Northeast region area director, said in a prepared statement Monday.<\/p>\n
As part of the expansion, Chick-fil-A Inc. has pledged to donate $25,000 to a Feeding America partner food bank or affiliate for each new restaurant opened. The company said it has donated $585,000 to hunger relief efforts across Pennsylvania since 2020.<\/p>\n
