FORKS TWP., Pa. – Victaulic has scooped up one of its suppliers.<\/p>\n
The Forks Township-based maker of pipe-joining systems, valves and related products has announced the acquisition of Core Pipe Products, Inc.<\/p>\n
A purchase price was not disclosed.<\/p>\n
Core Pipe makes stainless steel and alloy pipe fittings with three manufacturing facilities in the U.S.: one in Illinois and two in Florida.<\/p>\n
In a news release announcing the deal, Victaulic said Core Pipe has been one of its key suppliers of stainless steel fittings.<\/p>\n
“The addition of Core Pipe will significantly increase Victaulic\u2019s domestic stainless steel manufacturing capacity and fabrication assemblies, expanding the company\u2019s ability to serve customers and pursue new market opportunities across North America,” the release reads, in part. “The acquisition is part of Victaulic’s ongoing investment in manufacturing capacity, innovation and customer-focused solutions designed to improve productivity, safety and reliability throughout the life of a build.”<\/p>\n
Victaulic was founded in London, England, in 1919 as the Victory Pipe Joint Company. It moved its headquarters to New York City in 1925 and began establishing roots in the Lehigh Valley in the 1960s.<\/p>\n
Victaulic’s Forks Township foundry was established in 1976, and the company moved into a new world headquarters next to the foundry in 1982.<\/p>\n
In 1989, Victaulic purchased the Figgi Corporation\/Kline foundry in Alburtis.<\/p>\n
