ALLENTOWN, Pa. — It’s now up to the jury to decide the fate of two men charged in a deadly shooting at an Allentown lounge.<\/p>\n
A man working security at the lounge was killed and several other people were wounded in the February 2025 shooting.<\/p>\n
Closing arguments were made in court Monday morning in the homicide trial.<\/p>\n
Pedro Paulino and David Rivera both face homicide and assault charges in connection to this shooting at the BKK Lounge on Union Boulevard.<\/p>\n
Investigators say Ivan Diaz Jr. was killed and three others were wounded.<\/p>\n
Police said the shooting followed a fight that began inside the lounge and continued outside, where shots were fired.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video of the shooting was played in court Monday.<\/p>\n
During closing arguments, the defense said Diaz, the victim, had been drinking while he was working security and did not appear to be dressed as a security guard.<\/p>\n
They say Diaz was acting aggressively.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors argue Rivera and Paulino were both looking for a fight that night, citing how Rivera got into a fight with an unknown man four minutes into stepping into the lounge.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors say Paulino and Rivera could have left at anytime, but made the decision to go back and shoot.<\/p>\n
