A 23-year-old Wilkes-Barre man faces charges after breaking into a garage and trying to break into a nearby residence in Clifford Twp. on Sunday morning, Greenfield Twp. Police Chief Justin Ezerskis said.<\/p>\n
Police responded to 5503 Cottrell Road at 11:13 a.m. for a report of a burglary in progress and found Carson Taylor inside an unoccupied garage, Ezerskis said. There were people inside the home at that address during the time of the break-in, he added.<\/p>\n
Ezerskis said Taylor began resisting and kicked him before the police chief took him into custody.<\/p>\n
Taylor also attempted to break into a house across the street from the garage around 6:20 a.m. Sunday, but the owner didn\u2019t call the police at the time, Ezerskis said.<\/p>\n
Police charged Taylor \u2014 who Ezerskis noted was highly under the influence of a substance during the incident \u2014 with burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, harassment and narcotics-related charges.<\/p>\n
