With tight end Dallas Goedert expected to miss a few weeks with an MCL sprain, Ertz is signing to the Eagles&#8217; practice squad, ESPN reported Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ertz, who played the last two seasons with the Washington Commanders, spent nine years with the Eagles, where he helped the team win the franchise&#8217;s first Super Bowl in 2018 over the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/eagles-saquon-barkley-injury-stinger\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Goedert suffered the injury<\/a> in the first half of Philadelphia&#8217;s Week 2 comeback 24-20 victory over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/eagles-titans-score-jalen-hurts-week-2-nfl\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tennessee Titans<\/a> on Sunday. He finished the game with one catch for 4 yards on two targets. He scored two touchdowns against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/philadelphia-eagles-washington-commanders-week-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Washington Commanders<\/a> in the regular-season opener.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Goedert is the third Eagles tight end to suffer an injury in the 2026 season.
