(WTAJ) — Multiple Chick-fil-A stores will spring up around Western Pennsylvania in the next two years.<\/p>\n
The company announced an expansion of nine new locally owned stores in the region through 2028, which include Johnstown, Latrobe and a first-ever location in DuBois.<\/p>\n
In May, the company submitted plans<\/a> to DuBois City to take over the former Rite Aid location on Commons Drive. Now, Chick-fil-A confirmed it’s aiming to be open and operational by 2028 in DuBois.<\/p>\n Currently, a new location in Mars is set to open in October. In addition, Indiana will open its new restaurant by spring 2027, while the company works to open in Murrysville, Latrobe and Johnstown by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n “Western\u00a0Pennsylvania is an\u00a0exciting place for Chick-fil-A to\u00a0continue growing because\u00a0of the strong\u00a0communities that make this region so\u00a0special,” said\u00a0Chad Terry, Area\u00a0Director, Northeast Region.\u00a0“As we expand\u00a0the brand,\u00a0we’re\u00a0focused on creating\u00a0more\u00a0opportunities for local ownership,\u00a0which in turn leads to new jobs\u00a0and\u00a0developing\u00a0leaders\u00a0within the restaurant.\u00a0We look forward to seeing how\u00a0Chick-fil-A\u00a0will make a\u00a0positive impact\u00a0in\u00a0each\u00a0community we join.”\u00a0<\/p>\n In addition to opening new locations, the company also commits to supporting the communities where it does business.
