Atley Calvert scored his sixth goal of the season 15 minutes into the first period, and the Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton Penguins kept the offensive attack going in a 4-0 win over the Utica Comets on Saturday night at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.<\/p>\n
Rookie goalie Maxim Pavlenko earned a 20-save shutout in his first American Hockey League start as the Penguins (9-3-1-0) snapped a three-game losing skid and evened the season series with Utica at 1-1.<\/p>\n
Calvert\u2019s goal came on the power play to open the scoring.<\/p>\n
In the second period, the Penguins added two more goals when Mathieu De St. Pahlle scored his second of the season off assists from Chase Pietila and Alex Alexeyev at 5:51. The Pens made it 3-0 at 13:06 of the second when Sam Poulin scored his fifth of the season with the assists going to Valtteri Puustinen and Aaron Huglen.<\/p>\n
With Utica goalie Jakub Malek pulled for a sixth attacker, Tristan Broz scored his seventh goal of the season into the empty net at 17:23 to close the scoring. Finn Harding got his fourth assist of the year on the play.<\/p>\n
The Penguins outshot Utica, 27-20.<\/p>\n
Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton returns to action Wednesday morning when it plays at Bridgeport at 10:30.
