PENNSYLVANIA (WHP) \u2014 An equipment outage at the Philadelphia International Airport resulted in a ground stop, reportedly delaying dozens of flights on Monday. <\/p>\n

CBS Philadelphia confirmed planes were stuck on the runway in the early afternoon. <\/p>\n

The Philadelphia International Airport is one of three airports experiencing these delays \u2014 Newark Liberty International and Teterboro Airport are experiencing these issues as well.<\/p>\n

“The FAA is pausing flights into Philadelphia International, Teterboro and Newark Liberty International airports due to issues with some frequencies at Philadelphia TRACON,” a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) is an air traffic control facility that utilizes radar and radios to guide planes coming and going from airports.<\/p>\n

Those traveling are advised to check the National Airspace System Status<\/a> for real-time information on delays.<\/p>\n
