A variety of free health services and community resources will be available to Erie residents during the upcoming Community Health Clinic and Resource Fair at the Erie Center for Arts & Technology.<\/p>\n
The event is scheduled for September 24, at the Erie Center for Arts & Technology, located at 650 East Avenue. The health clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the resource fair will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
Several health screenings and services will be offered throughout the day. UPMC for You is partnering with Big Smiles Mobile Dental to provide dental cleanings for children and ages 0 to 19. Medicaid is preferred, but all insurance plans will be accepted. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling (814) 602-7164.<\/p>\n
The Erie County Department of Health will also offer lead screenings. Families are encouraged to pre-register by calling (814)451-6700. The first 10 families who pre-register and complete testing will receive a $20 Walmart gift card.<\/p>\n
Adults 18 and older can take advantage of several walk-in health screenings, including bone density, cholesterol, glucose, BMI and blood pressure checks, retinal screenings, and flu vaccinations.<\/p>\n
Organizers say the event is designed to connect residents with important healthcare services while also providing information about local resources available throughout the community.<\/p>\n
