As temperatures begin to drop and cold and flu season approaches, Philadelphia residents can protect themselves and their families with free flu<\/a>\u00a0and COVID-19 vaccines<\/a>.<\/p>\n The city is offering both vaccines at City Health Centers across Philadelphia<\/a> for residents ages 6 months and older. No appointment is required, and there is no cost to receive the vaccines.<\/p>\n Health officials say the annual flu shot remains the most effective way to prevent severe illness from influenza, particularly for children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems.
