S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – For three years, a trio of skeletons sat here on North Cedar Crest Boulevard. But the band of bones was broken up on Sunday, when police say one of them was stolen.<\/p>\n
The homeowner says watch out or your display could be next.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey’re my buddies. I moved out here, we live next to the cornfields, so I figured, let’s put some skeletons out here,” explained homeowner Terri Zenz.<\/p>\n
And for three years, Terri Zenz says everything was fine. The Skeleton Sisters became a landmark in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
“Everyone says hi to him. Everybody says hi to my skeletons. Everyone blows their horn as they pass. Everyone enjoys my skeletons,” Zenz said.<\/p>\n
But on Sunday morning, right around 7:30, Terry says she saw a black car outside with rainbow lights on both sides of the windshield. When Terri came outside to investigate, she found that someone had cut the zip ties and a skeleton was missing.<\/p>\n
“My skeleton. They stole my skeleton,” she said. “I heard the car pull off and by the time I came outside, my skeleton was gone and so was the car.”<\/p>\n
Terri reported the theft to police and is now warning others to keep an eye on their displays.<\/p>\n
“They’re hot right now. Everybody wants a skeleton, and they’re expensive,” Zenz said.<\/p>\n
Terri isn’t one to crack skulls. She just wants her skeletons reunited.<\/p>\n
“There’s always good in the world somewhere,” she said.<\/p>\n
