And this month, Erie audiences can attend a concert that showcases the high-level performance and many fine layers of Goldsberry&#8217;s career.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">&#8220;I think audiences can expect a concert that showcases just how versatile Ms. Goldsberry is. Ren\u00e9e Elise Goldsberry is an extraordinary artist who seems capable of doing just about anything,&#8221; says Brett Johnson, Ph.D., artistic director of the Mercyhurst Institute for Arts &amp; Culture. &#8220;There is also tremendous educational value in simply watching a world-class artist at work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Attendees will experience a show that draws selections from different eras of Goldsberry&#8217;s career: Broadway (The Lion King,\u00a0 Rent, and Hamilton), her debut solo album Who I Really Am (incorporating her soulful sound with pop, folk, gospel, and blues influences), and the widely acclaimed television series Girls5Eva (featuring a &#8217;90s girl group on its comeback tour).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">&#8220;For our students, particularly those studying theater and music,&#8221; says Johnson, &#8220;the opportunity to see an artist of Ms. Goldsberry&#8217;s caliber command the concert stage offers its own kind of master class in performance, musicianship, storytelling, and communication.
