Gannon University is gaining national recognition.<\/p>\n

Gannon is now ranked No. 219 among National Universities, a jump of 38 spots from its previous ranking of No. 257. according to the 2027 rankings. The university remains the Erie region’s only nationally ranked university.<\/p>\n
The rankings also recognized Gannon’s efforts to help students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds succeed. The university climbed 23 places to No. 181 in the Top Performers on Social Mobility category, which measures how effectively colleges enroll and graduate students who receive Pell Grants.<\/p>\n
Gannon’s engineering programs also saw significant improvement, rising 18 spots to No. 123 nationally among undergraduate engineering programs at institutions whose highest engineering degree is a bachelor’s or master’s degree and that have ABET-accredited programs.<\/p>\n
In addition, Gannon earned a No. 104 ranking among Top Private Colleges in the National Universities category, a new classification introduced in this year’s rankings. The university’s undergraduate computer science and nursing programs also received national recognition.<\/p>\n
University officials say the rankings highlight Gannon’s continued commitment to academic excellence and student success. National universities are evaluated on several factors, including academic quality, student outcomes, and institutional performance.<\/p>\n
The university serves more than 4,700 students across its campuses in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Ruskin, Florida, offering undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Gannon University is gaining national recognition.
