PITTSBURGH \u2014 A man was stabbed in Pittsburgh\u2019s Garfield neighborhood following an argument on a bus.<\/p>\n
Officers were called to the 5000 block of Penn Avenue at around 1 p.m.<\/p>\n
Police said two men were in an argument on a bus, and when they exited, it became physical. The suspect then stabbed the victim once in the abdomen. <\/p>\n
Bystanders helped provide first aid to the victim. He was taken to a hospital by medics in critical condition. He was later listed as serious but stable.<\/p>\n
Officers searching the area found a person matching the suspect\u2019s description in the 5400 block of Baum Boulevard in Bloomfield. <\/p>\n
Public safety officials said the suspect resisted arrest and became confrontational, which led to officers deploying their taser.<\/p>\n
Medics evaluated the suspect at the scene, and he was then taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. Once he is discharged from the hospital, he will be taken to the Allegheny County Jail and charges will be filed.<\/p>\n
His identity has not yet been released. <\/p>\n
