(WOLF) \u2014 A New York man who was free on bail in a felony drug-trafficking case is accused of selling drugs from a home in Scranton\u2019s Hill Section, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Jaheem Slater was taken into custody Wednesday after a joint investigation involving the DEA\u2019s Scranton Field Office, Pennsylvania State Police, Scranton police and Lackawanna County detectives.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Jaheem Slater\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"364\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/84397a8a-7d5e-494c-9d5a-093fd6d04517-JaheemSlater.png\" width=\"648\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Investigators executed a search warrant around 12:15 p.m. and said Slater ignored commands before officers took him into custody. A woman and an infant were inside the residence at the time, according to the Lackawanna County District Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said they recovered about 185 grams of suspected cocaine, 12 ounces of marijuana, two .22-caliber revolvers, digital scales, packaging materials and $1,310. The money included funds investigators said were used in an earlier controlled purchase.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Slater is prohibited from possessing firearms because of a 2011 felony drug conviction in New York. He was also free on bail in a February 2026 felony drug-trafficking case in Schenectady, New York, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing.
