(WHTM) \u2014 Republicans across Pennsylvania lost races up and down the ballot Tuesday.<\/p>\n
A clear example of this was the loss of Republican Fran Chardo, a respected district attorney in Dauphin County, home to the state\u2019s capital, in his bid for county judge. Chardo outraised his Democratic opponent, LaTasha Williams, who spent less than $3,000 on her campaign and did not hold an election night party.<\/p>\n
Chardo said he was surprised by his loss. Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chair Eugene DePasquale said he saw a blue wave coming.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s a couple things,\u201d DePasquale said. \u201cNumber one, I think it was a clear rejection of the extremism and chaos of Washington, D.C., the Trump tariffs, increased prices and just the continual chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the second part was, I think we ran smart, disciplined campaigns all over the state,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
