On Sept. 17-18, Villanova University hosted the \u201cWitness to Hope: Pastoral Care of Immigrant Communities\u201d regional conference, bringing together clergy, religious leaders and lay faithful to explore ways the Church can accompany and support immigrant families. Co-sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Mother Cabrini Institute on Immigration, and Catholic IMMpact, the gathering highlighted pastoral care, advocacy, and the dignity of migrants.<\/p>\n
The conference featured a keynote address by Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., of Providence, Rhode Island, while Archbishop Nelson J. P\u00e9rez celebrated Mass with fellow bishops and priests at St. Thomas of Villanova Church.
