(WPVI) &#8212; Two local high schools have canceled their football seasons due to a shortage of players.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Jenkintown school district released a letter to parents saying the decision to end the varsity football season was made due to &#8220;safety concerns from low participation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The team will continue to hold practices in the hopes of rebuilding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Harriton High School in Lower Merion canceled its football season earlier this month, citing the lack of players for the team.<br class=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
