It includes larger-than-life story sets from A-Z across more than a half-mile of trails throughout Frick Park. Professional storytellers, artists, entertainers, and local youth-serving organizations will come together to join the community along the Alphabet Trail. There will also be music, games, art, crafts, and more activities for the whole family. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we want Pittsburgh to be every family\u2019s first choice, traditions like Alphabet Trail and Tales help us to meet that goal,\u201d said Mayor Corey O\u2019Connor. \u201cI\u2019m so thankful to the entire team at CitiParks for all the work that they put into our programming year-round and congratulate them on this milestone anniversary.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Partner organizations include the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh presenting Pennsylvania&#8217;s &#8220;One Book, Every Child&#8221; 2026 selection, The Great Cookie Kerfuffle written by Jessica Shaw and illustrated by Pauline Gregory, as well as Pittsburgh Puppet Works, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Reading Is Fundamental, Animal Friends, Eat&#8217;n Park and many more.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCitiParks is committed to not only continuing beloved events like Alphabet Trail and Tales, but enhancing and expanding our programming across our parks, recreation centers, and senior centers,\u201d said Director of Parks and Recreation Eric Sloan. \u201cAfter a great summer season of pools, movies, and concerts, we\u2019re so excited to kick off the fall with this annual event.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CitiParks continues its fall and winter season with the Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race, Track and Treat, the Gingerbread House Display and Competition, new seasonal hours at the Henry W. Oliver Bath House, and much more.
