PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 Detectives are searching for a suspect who broke into a South Philly home, where he was quickly fought off by the resident. Surveillance video shows the man lurking around the neighborhood and peering into homes right before.<\/p>\n
It happened around 6 a.m. on Sept. 11 at 20th and Morris streets.<\/p>\n
The man, dressed in all black and a surgical mask, is seen walking around back alleyways and peering into homes in the Point Breeze and Newbold neighborhoods.<\/p>\n
The suspect then saw a man taking out the trash, authorities said, and that\u2019s when he pounced, forcing his way inside the victim’s home.<\/p>\n
Officials said the victim \u201cvaliantly fought off\u201d the suspect, who then sprinted away.<\/p>\n
Nothing was taken from the home, and the victim is OK. <\/p>\n
