BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – A Pennsylvania State Police trooper accused of child abuse has been acquitted of all charges.<\/p>\n

Young, who works in Berks County, was found not guilty in Schuylkill County court Friday. Those charges included aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and reckless endangerment, among similar charges for the alleged abuse and endangerment of an infant and two other children.<\/p>\n

Young, who was previously charged with intimidating a witness<\/a> in the same child abuse investigation, was also found not guilty in that case.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the child was in Young\u2019s care in September 2023 when the child was injured. The victim required medical intervention, hospital admission, and physical therapy.
