The madman accused of stabbing a Pennsylvania doctor<\/a> to death this week once wildly professed to police he was King Tut as he ran around a Florida parking lot. <\/p>\n

Elijah Hemingway \u2014 the 32-year-old charged with killing Dr. Idris Evans after breaking into his home Thursday \u2014 bizarrely declared, \u201cI am King Tutankhamun\u201d and swore to cops he meant no harm while leaping across cars in Daytona, according to bodycam obtained by WPXI<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I am a spirit. I am not a physical being,\u201d Hemingway shot back.<\/p>\n

He then claimed to be the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian Pharoah.<\/p>\n

Six of Hemingway\u2019s 22 past criminal charges stemmed from raucous run-ins with police and a girlfriend: three for the manic parking lot spectacle and three for allegedly beating his gal pal, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Hemingway was arrested in July on burglary and theft charges stemming from a separate February home break-in \u2014 but he was released on \u201cnon-monetary bail\u201d just hours later, court records obtained by The Post show.<\/p>\n

He would go on to allegedly break into Evans\u2019 home Thursday and launch a crazed knife attack that left the pediatric critical care physician dead<\/a> and his wife with severe stab wounds. <\/p>\n

Gina Evans, Idris\u2019 wife, told police that Hemingway appeared \u201cpsychotic\u201d and was stripped down to his underwear, ranting and raving about God and \u201cbeing God\u201d when he burst into the Allegheny County home just after 12:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

The couple tried to fight back, and Evans yelled \u201cElijah\u201d during the middle-of-the-night attack as if he knew him, his wife said after witnessing her husband\u2019s horrific murder, WPXI reported, citing court documents.<\/p>\n

Hemingway claimed he was invited to the house, but officials couldn\u2019t verify his story \u2014 and he was unable to tell police how he knew Evans.<\/p>\n

The Evans\u2019 children, ages 8 and 12, ran to a neighbor\u2019s home after their mom told them to run away.<\/p>\n

The alleged lunatic stabber remained at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh on Friday.<\/p>\n

Evans was a physician and the co-Medical Director of UPMC Children\u2019s Hospital of Pittsburgh\u2019s Pediatric Transport Team as well as an Assistant Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, according to his online bio<\/a>.<\/p>\n
