PITTSBURGH \u2014 A man accused of stabbing a Pittsburgh doctor and his wife while they were asleep in their Edgewood home is now facing charges for a separate incident. <\/p>\n
Elijah Hemingway, 32, is charged with homicide, aggravated assault, burglary and more for killing Idris Evans, a pediatric critical care physician at Children\u2019s Hospital and an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh<\/a>, and critically injuring his wife. She is still hospitalized, now in stable condition. <\/p>\n PREVIOUS COVERAGE >>> UPMC doctor stabbed to death, wife injured in attack inside Edgewood home while they slept<\/a> <\/p>\n The victim\u2019s two children, ages 8 and 12, were able to make it out of the home safely. <\/p>\n The Allegheny County Police Department says Hemingway is now facing charges for a sexual assault in Wilkinsburg. <\/p>\n RELATED COVERAGE >>> \u2018I am King Tutankhamun\u2019: Video shows erratic behavior of UPMC doctor murder suspect <\/a><\/p>\n ACPD says during the homicide investigation, Wilkinsburg Police contacted detectives about a reported sexual assault on Sept. 23 around 10:30 a.m. The victim reportedly said she was walking on a path that connects an alley to West Street when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man. <\/p>\n Detectives say they were able to collect multiple items that connect Hemingway to the reported sexual assault.
