A beloved annual event drew crowds to Erie’s West Bayfront neighborhood on Saturday, giving people the opportunity to hear dozens of local performers.

The seventh annual PorchFest let neighbors move block by block enjoying a variety of musical acts, from acoustic performers to full bands rocking out throughout the neighborhood.

What makes the event different from other concerts is that homeowners welcome musicians onto their porches and lawns, turning neighborhood streets into stages for the day.

In addition to highlighting local musicians, organizers hope PorchFest encourages people to explore new neighborhoods, connect with others, and build a stronger sense of community.

Organizers also say the event gives newer artists a chance to perform with less hassle than traditional venues, helping them share their music with a wider audience.

The annual festival continues to celebrate local talent while bringing residents and visitors together through music in one of Erie’s historic neighborhoods.

A beloved annual event drew crowds to Erie’s West Bayfront neighborhood on Saturday, giving people the opportunity to…

[12
524,136,138,137,108448,120049,120087
post-294780","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-erie","tag-community","tag-erie","tag-erie-headlines","tag-erie-news","tag-local-musicians","tag-porchfest","tag-west-bayfront
["GET
