1 stabbed in Pittsburgh\u2019s Central Business District<\/p>\n
One man was stabbed and another arrested early Monday morning in Pittsburgh\u2019s Central Business District.<\/p>\n
Police responded to Sixth Avenue at Coffey Way for a reported stabbing around 12:45 a.m.<\/p>\n
Officers found a man with a single stab wound to his chest, public safety officials said. Officers rendered aid \u2014 including a chest seal \u2014 until medics arrived.<\/p>\n
Officials said the victim was alert and speaking with officers and medics before EMS took him to the hospital. He was in stable condition.<\/p>\n
The victim had been involved in an altercation with another man before the stabbing, public safety officials said. The suspect was found and taken into custody shortly after the incident.<\/p>\n
Charges are forthcoming, officials said.<\/p>\n
1 injured in Homewood shooting<\/p>\n
One person was injured Sunday evening in a shooting in Pittsburgh\u2019s Homewood neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Police were dispatched to the 7300 block of Frankstown Avenue at Sterrett Street for a pair of ShotSpotter alerts that totaled 31 rounds just after 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
Officers driving to the scene found a man in the 7300 block of Race Street with multiple gunshot wounds to his arms and legs, public safety officials said. Officers applied tourniquets until medics arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n
The victim was conscious, alert and able to speak, officials said. He was taken to a hospital.<\/p>\n
Officers found the crime scene on Frankstown, where the ShotSpotter system had signaled. The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence, including shell casings.<\/p>\n
