{"id":296438,"date":"2026-09-29T21:50:26","date_gmt":"2026-09-29T21:50:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/296438\/"},"modified":"2026-09-29T21:50:26","modified_gmt":"2026-09-29T21:50:26","slug":"nationally-recognized-comedian-bringing-act-to-santander-performing-arts-center-in-reading-next-year-reading-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/296438\/","title":{"rendered":"Nationally recognized comedian bringing act to Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading next year | Reading Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>READING, Pa. \u2014 Henry Cho will bring his clean Southern comedy routine to Reading next year.<\/p>\n<p>Cho will take the stage at Santander Performing Arts Center on Saturday, May 1, as part of his It\u2019s What I Do tour, the venue said.<\/p>\n<p>The tour will visit 26 cities across the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>The venue said his stand-up show blends sharp observational humor about family life and parenting.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s What I Do highlights the veteran comedian\u2019s take on cultural mix-ups, church life and everyday marriage negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>Cho is currently on his Empty Nest Tour, which has sold out more than 95 performances across the U.S. over the past two years, the venue said.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets go on presale Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. with code HENRY.<\/p>\n<p>The venue said remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. at <a href=\"http:\/\/henrychocomedy.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">henrychocomedy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cho was inducted as the 229th member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2023, becoming the first comedian to receive the honor since 1973, the venue said.<\/p>\n<p>The venue said Cho\u2019s television credits include appearances on NBC\u2019s The Tonight Show, CBS\u2019 The Late Late Show and NBC\u2019s Young Comedians Special.<\/p>\n<p>He hosted NBC\u2019s Friday Night Videos for two years and has made numerous guest appearances on network sitcoms.<\/p>\n<p>He was the co-creator, co-producer and co-writer of The Henry Cho Show on GAC.<\/p>\n<p>His one-hour Comedy Central special, What\u2019s That Clickin\u2019 Noise?, was also on Netflix, the venue said.<\/p>\n<p>Cho can still be heard daily on SiriusXM, Blue Collar Radio and Pandora.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"READING, Pa. \u2014 Henry Cho will bring his clean Southern comedy routine to Reading next year.
