ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police responded to a second shooting that injured at least one person in Allentown Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

A Lehigh County emergency dispatcher confirmed a police incident shortly after 8 p.m. in the area of South Front and East Susquehanna streets.<\/p>\n

One victim was transported to the hospital, according to Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n

A woman who lives close to the scene called 69 News to report hearing multiple gunshots.<\/p>\n

The City of Allentown released the following statement on Facebook:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply saddened by the shootings in our community and are keeping those impacted in our thoughts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Office of Violence Prevention is working with our public safety and community partners to support those affected and help prevent further violence.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease do not retaliate. Violence only creates more harm. Let\u2019s continue to look out for one another and keep Allentown safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allentown Police are investigating the shooting. No further details have been released.<\/p>\n

A separate shooting Tuesday night just before 7 p.m. left at least one person dead.<\/p>\n

According to Allentown Police, it happened on the 600 block of Gordon Street.<\/p>\n

Officers say they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene by Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio.<\/p>\n
