READING, Pa. – Thousands of Scouts helped fill shelves for families in need this weekend.<\/p>\n
The annual Scouting for Food drive brought in more than 55,000 pounds of donations for Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank.<\/p>\n
Volunteers spent the day sorting items that will be distributed to families across Berks and Schuylkill counties.<\/p>\n
With more people turning to food banks amid the government shutdown.<\/p>\n
