This $3.2 million in federal funding will cover 75% of the county’s emergency response costs, providing much needed relief to local property taxpayers. We sadly cannot get back the lives we lost in that storm, but I will always fight to make sure Western New York receives the federal resources it needs to recover and prepare for future emergencies.”

The emergency response included search and rescue operations, operating an Emergency Operations Center, distributing life-sustaining supplies, maintaining emergency access on public roads, safety inspections and emergency medical care.

The funding is part of FEMA’s disaster declaration for the December 2022 winter storm.

Erie County is getting more than $3.2 million in federal funding to help cover the cost of responding…

[12
122786,26030,136,142,138,137,4124,40910
post-297295","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-erie","tag-buffalo-airport","tag-emergency-response","tag-erie","tag-erie-county","tag-erie-headlines","tag-erie-news","tag-federal-funding","tag-fema
["GET
