After a stunning victory in Atlanta<\/a> — that featured incredible performances from Phillies ace Cristopher Sanchez and 23-year-old rookie starting pitcher Andrew Painter, as well as a number of game-changing home runs including an extra-inning game-winning bomb from first baseman Alec Bohm — the Fightins are set for a final, do-or-die matchup against the Braves.<\/p>\n

And, with all of the other three Wild Card Series matchups across the league ending in two-game sweeps, Thursday’s game has been moved to primetime.<\/p>\n

The game — that had originally been scheduled to start at 2 p.m. — has been flexed and first pitch will likely be at 8:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Coverage of the event will begin at 8 p.m. right here on NBC10 and Peacock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far, the starters for Thursday night’s game have not been announced. <\/p>\n

However, early Thursday morning, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark<\/a> posted online that right-hander Aaron Nola would likely be the starter for Thursday night’s game.<\/p>\n

Phillies right-hander Zach Wheeler could also take the mound.<\/p>\n

His last appearance was Sunday’s game — the last game of the regular season — in which the Phillies finally punched their ticket to appear in the postseason. <\/p>\n

The Phillies-Braves series is tied 1-1 and the winner of Thursday’s game will face the Los Angeles Dodgers with the first game of the National League Division Series tentatively scheduled to be held on Saturday.<\/p>\n
