NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 467 of the Local Government Act, that the Council of the City of Parksville will, on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre, 100 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, BC, consider first reading of the following bylaw:<\/p>\n

\u201cZONING AND DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT BYLAW, 2026, NO. 2000.163\u201d<\/p>\n

proposes to amend \u201cCity of Parksville Zoning and Development Bylaw, 1994, No. 2000\u201d.<\/p>\n

Further readings of the Bylaw may also be considered at the meeting.<\/p>\n

In general terms, the purpose of the proposed amendment to the Zoning and Development Bylaw is to change the zoning on the subject property from its current Residential RS-1 zone to a new Comprehensive Development CD-38A zone to facilitate a multi-family residential development.<\/p>\n

The subject property at 386 Hirst Avenue West is shown shaded on the map below and legally described as Lot 1, District Lot 14, Nanoose District, Plan 5797, Except Parcel A (DD 379171I) [PID: 005-928-311]:<\/p>\n
