Location: Area of Centre Avenue and George Street, Muhlenberg Township<\/p>\n
Police synopsis: Muhlenberg police were notified about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 22 of Verizon copper telephone wires being cut. Investigators determined that 150 to 200 feet of cable had been removed from the area of the George Street bridge over the railroad tracks. That afternoon, additional Verizon wires were discovered cut along Beltline Avenue. The total loss is estimated to be at least $10,000. Police seek information from anyone who saw suspicious activity on Centre Avenue, George Street, Beltline Avenue or surrounding areas or who has information regarding the theft or attempted sale of a large quantity of copper communications wire.
