{"id":299040,"date":"2026-10-03T11:46:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-03T11:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/299040\/"},"modified":"2026-10-03T11:46:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-03T11:46:08","slug":"man-shot-outside-of-popular-pittsburgh-bar-witness-taken-in-for-questioning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/299040\/","title":{"rendered":"Man shot outside of popular Pittsburgh bar, witness taken in for questioning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man had to be rushed into surgery in critical condition after he was shot outside of a popular Pittsburgh bar early on Saturday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to information provided to KDKA-TV by Pittsburgh Public Safety, around 1:45 a.m., officers were called to Penn Avenue for a reported shooting outside of the Real Luck Cafe, better known to locals as Lucky&#8217;s, in the Strip District.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/luckysbarshooting.png#.png\" alt=\"luckysbarshooting.png \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Police on the scene of a shooting outside of Lucky&#8217;s in the Strip District<\/p>\n<p>                KDKA-TV\/Mark Dovi<\/p>\n<p>Once officers arrived on the scene, they found that a man had been shot in the abdomen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The man was then taken to the hospital in critical condition and immediately rushed into surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While processing the scene, the mobile crime unit found shell casings to confirm the shooting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s believed a suspect fled the scene on foot, and public safety said that one witness was taken to police headquarters for questioning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Pittsburgh Police&#8217;s Violent Crime Division is investigating the shooting.
