Gannon University hosted its Fall Open House today, drawing a large crowd of potential students and families to the community.

A steady stream of families filled the Highmark Events Center, all eager to see what Gannon University could offer them.

Staff highlighted small class sizes and what they describe as close, hands-on relationships with professors who work directly with students as they prepare for careers.

“We’ve got great neighbors, whether it’s Flagship Hall or some of our partners like the courthouse and internship opportunities. We offer an urban education at a small liberal arts price tag. Students get a lot of opportunities in an urban setting that they wouldn’t get at institutions in more rural areas.” Randy Brown, the vice president of Marketing and enrollment at Gannon University shared.

Families also heard about Gannon’s competitive scholarship packages and financial aid options.

The university split the day into its three colleges, giving prospective students time with faculty and current students to learn about curriculum and outcomes.

To help visitors get a feel for Erie, Gannon partnered with public transportation, offering trolley tours that showcased how connected the university is to the community.

Showcasing success doesn’t end at the campus grounds.

“The work we do in this community helps the community thrive as a local municipality. Our goal is to spread the word on Gannon. Our goal is to help people understand what Gannon is all about, what the Gannon community is all about, why they fit, why they can be a part of that community, and why there is value in joining us come fall.” Brown said.

Gannon University hosted its Fall Open House today, drawing a large crowd of potential students and families to…

[12
136,138,137,9677,5231,69790,9746
post-299346","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-erie","tag-erie","tag-erie-headlines","tag-erie-news","tag-gannon-university","tag-open-house","tag-prospective-students","tag-scholarship
["GET
