A coastal low pressure system is keeping things damp, dreary, and cool today with clouds, rain, and gusty winds all working together to keep temperatures down in the lower 60s.<\/p>\n
As we head into the afternoon the showers taper off, though there’s still a good chance of some spotty showers during the Eagles game. By late afternoon it’s mainly just cloudy, breezy, and cool with winds gusting to 20 mph in Philadelphia and a little stronger at the shore.<\/p>\n
As the coastal system pulls away, sunshine makes a strong comeback for the work week ahead and we’re going to see a lot of it. But the temperatures will be nothing like last week. A pattern change is bringing cool autumn air with temperatures briefly below normal and a couple of notably chilly mornings on the way.<\/p>\n
Monday starts the sunny stretch with a high of 72\u00b0, but northwesterly winds gusting around 25 mph will be doing the work of ushering in the cooler air. You’ll really feel the difference Tuesday morning with a low of 48\u00b0 and a high of just 65\u00b0, below our normal of the low 70s.<\/p>\n
The chilliest morning arrives Wednesday with temperatures dipping into the low to mid 40s in Philadelphia and some suburbs possibly touching the 30s. But sunshine and milder air quickly follow with 73\u00b0 Wednesday, and warming to 77\u00b0 both Thursday and Friday under mostly sunny skies.<\/p>\n
The weekend looks great with partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s Saturday and Sunday.
