Harmon was in the middle of a season where he tallied 1.5 sacks, 12 tackles, two QB hits, and one forced fumble.<\/p>\n<p>In 12 games last season, Harmon had 27 tackles and three sacks. Pittsburgh\u2019s defense is known for being tough. Harmon was ready for a breakout season. Now, it looks like he will be out for a while.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the latest updates on the status of the Steelers&#8217; rising star.<\/p>\n<p>Derrick Harmon injury update<\/p>\n<p>Harmon was carted off on Thursday with a foot injury. The injury happened in the first half of the Steelers&#8217; 27-24 loss to the Browns.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old wore a walking boot after the game. An MRI was scheduled for Friday.<\/p>\n<p>How long is Derrick Harmon out?<\/p>\n<p>Per <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapSheet\/status\/2106726498459582935?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">ESPN&#8217;s Ian Rapoport<\/a>, Harmon is expected &#8220;to miss a few weeks.&#8221; While not a long-term injury, a trip to the IR is not off the table.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/fantasy\/football\/player-news\/2026-10-04\/pit-dt-derrick-harmon-foot-not-out-long-term\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pro Football Talk<\/a> also reported Harmon could miss at least four games.
