PITTSBURGH \u2014 Crime scene tape is still up outside of Lucky\u2019s Bar in the Strip District. <\/p>\n
Police rushed to Penn Avenue after someone fired shots and a man ended up in the hospital. <\/p>\n
PREVIOUS COVERAGE >>> Man shot outside Strip District bar rushed into surgery<\/a><\/p>\n Jordan Cherry was inside Lucky\u2019s Bar late Friday Night when someone started shooting.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I heard the first gun pop, I was like, \u2018Wow, no, that\u2019s not happening.\u2019 But right after that, there were three more. And I literally just froze and I saw everyone screaming and running,\u201d Cherry said.<\/p>\n Cherry\u2019s friend was hit by the gunfire. He went to the hospital in critical condition, but Cherry says he\u2019s going to survive. <\/p>\n \u201cJustice will be served. I don\u2019t know when or how. But everything done in the dark comes to light,\u201d Cherry said. <\/p>\n He found his friend lying on the steps leading up to Lucky\u2019s deck. <\/p>\n \u201cThe shooting was happening at the back door, so we were all running to the front door,\u201d Cherry said. \u201cI ended up running back around outside and I see him lying on the patio deck. There was blood into Lucky\u2019s, all over the patio floor.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s the second shooting in recent months in the Strip District. <\/p>\n Back in August, La\u2019Eva Morrison was shot and killed at the intersection of 27th and Liberty. <\/p>\n PREVIOUS COVERAGE >>> Woman dead after Strip District shooting<\/a><\/p>\n At the time, police took three people in for questioning, but they were all released. <\/p>\n No one has been charged in Morrison\u2019s death. <\/p>\n Today, people in the Strip were surprised to hear about yet another shooting in the neighborhood. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a shame because you don\u2019t want to have to look over your back, but I guess with stuff like this you kind of have to,\u201d Michael Weleski said.<\/p>\n As for Cherry, he doesn\u2019t know if he\u2019ll be back any time soon. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is one of the tourist places.
