href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/2024\/10\/03\/etc-tuff-collaborative-real-estate-ptc.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">joint venture bought and rebranded a building at 700 Technology Dr.<\/a> at the Pittsburgh Technology Center long-known for housing Carnegie Mellon University\u2019s Entertainment Technology Center two years ago, The University Financing Foundation (TUFF) and Collaborative Real Estate are rolling out a new life sciences coworking venture in the building that may be the first of its kind in the region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Atlanta-based partners announced BenchBridge Labs, offering life sciences and materials science startups the kind of move-in ready wet lab and dry lab space options with a full array of equipment to pursue their ventures on flexible terms in a building now called Hot Metal Labs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">In a prepared statement, Kevin Byrne, president and CEO of TUFF, called BenchBridge Labs \u201ca manifestation of support\u201d for Pittsburgh\u2019s \u201crobust innovation and discovery ecosystem and adding that the new life science coworking space will \u201cbuild on existing strengths in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/2026\/10\/01\/joint-venture-benchbridge-lab-coworking-space.html?ana=wpxi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow
