AHN Saint Vincent is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a series of events throughout October aimed at raising awareness, supporting education efforts, and bringing the community together in the fight against breast cancer.<\/p>\n
The month-long initiative will feature several fundraising and community engagement events at the hospital and around Erie.<\/p>\n
The activities begin October 9 with a meet-and-greet event featuring AHN Saint Vincent’s team of surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and nurse navigators. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about breast cancer care and connect directly with members of the hospital’s treatment team.<\/p>\n
Additional events include a bake sale on October 14 and a flower sale on October 28, both taking place in the hospital’s main lobby. Later that evening, supporters can attend a celebrity bartending event at Plymouth Tavern from 6 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
Throughout the month, pink ribbons will also be available for purchase in the hospital cafeteria and lobby caf\u00e9. Organizers say proceeds from all of the events will go toward breast cancer awareness and education efforts.<\/p>\n
