PITTSBURGH \u2014 A fugitive who is wanted on five warrants across multiple counties has been arrested.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the Allegheny County Sheriff\u2019s Office said Eric Wagner, 34, of Beechview, was taken into custody on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Police have considered Wagner a fugitive for more than a year and say he has four warrants out of Westmoreland County and a bench warrant out of Allegheny County. <\/p>\n
Detectives learned Wagner was at a house along Keever Avenue in Pittsburgh\u2019s Westwood neighborhood this week.<\/p>\n
Authorities went to the location, knocked on the door, and announced their presence. Police heard a voice from inside the house tell them they were on private property and had to leave.<\/p>\n
According to the sheriff\u2019s office, police were able to identify Wagner through a window and applied for a search warrant.<\/p>\n
As police prepared to serve that search warrant, they announced themselves one last time. This time, Wagner exited the house and was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
Police said one of the warrants from Westmoreland County was for failing to appear at a bond revocation hearing in connection with charges of theft and aggravated assault.<\/p>\n
The warrant from Allegheny County was for failing to appear for a pre-trial hearing on a case involving nearly a dozen charges, including aggravated assault and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n
Wagner is now being held at the Allegheny County Jail.<\/p>\n
